1. Test Your Water

3. Clean & Circulate

  • Run pump: 6–8 hours daily
  • Brush walls & floor periodically
  • Remove debris (leaves, dirt) using leaf scope

🚨 How to Fix a Green Pool

A green pool means algae growth due to low chlorine or poor circulation.

🟢 Step-by-Step Solution

1. Brush the Pool


  • Scrub walls and floor to loosen algae

 

2. Adjust pH Level

  • Lower pH to 7.2 – 7.4
  • Use dry acid if needed

3. Shock the Pool (Very Important)

  • Add high dose chlorine (shock treatment)
  • Use below recommended products  
    • Fujichlon 70 (cal hypo)
    • Belsi Aquatick 70 (cal hypo)
    • Tokyochlon TCCA 90 TCCA Tablet Quick dissolve 
  • Apply during no sunlight or night time

4. Run the Filtration system 

  • Let water circulate 8–24 hours
    • Include a rest interval for the pump motor

5. Add Flocculant (if very cloudy)

6. Vacuum and run filtration

  • Settles dirt/algae to the bottom
  • Vacuum to waste after settling

 

6. Vacuum & Clean

  • Remove dead algae from pool floor
  • Backwash filter if needed
